THE DAILY PRACTICE

30 days of morning practice

a practice for grounding and spacious, compassionate presence.

Every Monday - Saturday

6:30AM - 7:05AM On Zoom

welcome!

Daily, regular practice is THE foundational component of yoga.

In short: it’s an unwavering commitment to practice at the same time, every day, without missing. And without attachment to what comes from practice.

Without attachment means we don’t try to “get anything” from practice, but we show up, as we are, with a sincere heart and effort. With the tools of breath work, movement and stillness, and over time, we tune deeply into center as the endless mind chatter becomes less relevant.

This is the practice that has been happening since yoga has been recorded 2500 years ago, and very likely long before. It is a commitment to clear our slate everyday, to remember the soul self, come to know the mind and it’s fluctuations, and to live in the love, joy freedom and peace that is our true nature.

This practice we are offering here was born out of our own commitment to morning practice, and the rich and numerous benefits that have come for us - Julie and Kirin. Starting our days with intentional, simple practice has been incredibly nourishing and empowering for us. In experiencing the benefit of this practice in our own life, we want and we want to offer this to you.

Join us and build this nourishing, confidence building, peaceful practice for yourself so you can experience this level of presence within yourself. It’s the gift that keeps on giving, over months and years and possibly even a lifetime :) And the gift that gives beyond you as well, as when we give to ourselves we nourish everyone around us.

We look forward to sharing more about the practice with you here. And we extend to you a sincere, warm invitation to join us.

With love,

Julie + Kirin

“I was reluctant to commit to a practice that involved getting up early. However, I quickly began to feel the benefits of beginning my day with this kind of loving attention to my body, breath, and energy.

Julie is such a wise and loving guide. The gifts I experience from the practice keep me returning each day, and the accountability and support of the group community keep me returning when it’s hard. This is my third month. I simply love this practice and the channels of energy and intuition it has opened up for me. it is a profound gift, i couldn’t recommend it more.’

- Laurie

or me, getting up early every day to tap into and reverberate our inner aliveness, openness, compassion, wisdom, and strength — for myself, my communities, you and your communities, instead of *anything else* — has been the most impactful mindfulness practice, for life “off the mat”, I’ve done yet. with gratitude and much metta for Kirin and everyone who practices together.

This practice is one of the best commitments and gifts I’ve given to myself. It was very challenging and difficult for me to wake up at 6:30 am as I have never been a morning person, but Kirin’s empowering and healing energy made it easy. I had so many breakthroughs throughout this month. I felt like I was able to be more present for myself, therefore I was more present for others around me as well. I noticed the relationships around me were enhancing as well. I realized the value of showing up for myself every morning and give myself the love and energy that I used to give to others right away, and would leave me feeling empty at the end of the day. Kirin’s class has taught me that it is okay to put yourself first. It is okay to give yourself all the love, empathy and compassion first. I actually feel full and complete and able to give to others so much more mindfully and with greater intention. Kirin’s morning meditation has taught me so much about myself and as a great side effect has reduced my anxiety significantly. I highly recommended her daily meditations. Her energy, voice and guidance is unmatched. Thank you Kirin, I could never really express my gratitude for the energy, love and compassion that you give to this community.

I hemmed and hawed about joining the Daily Practice because waking up that early really scared me. I thought of myself as a night owl and thought I'd barely be able to hang on for the month. But, to tell you how well it's going: I'm signing up for another month!!! The Daily Practice has transformed my days and weeks to be both calmer AND more productive. I've shifted from being a night owl to enjoying waking while the sun is coming up to Julie's soft voice and candlelight, with body-loving gentle stretches and breakwork. Do this for yourself :)
