Before You Arrive
1 · Complete the Survey
Please fill out this brief survey by September 20.
2 · Carpooling & Transportation
In the spirit of generosity and helping everyone arrive and depart with ease, we appreciate your support with carpooling. If you have a car and can offer a ride, please go ahead and add that sooner than later. If you don't have a car and are looking for a ride, please wait until a few people driving have filled in if they may be able to take you, and then you can reach out individually or a group email to ask for rides. If you are driving yourself, and all set with a ride, please indicate that too.
Please add your transportation info to the Retreat Doc.
Arriving & Departing
Friday Arrival
If you're able, please plan to arrive between 12pm and 12:45pm on Friday. We intentionally start the retreat before check in time so that we can extend our time together, and make the most of the weekend! We'll arrive, drop our things in our rooms or in the main house.
Please plan to have eaten lunch or bring a lunch for when you arrive. The first meal served on retreat is Dinner.
A couple suggestions for lunch:
In Stinson Beach. Snack bar with casual options like a Deli Sandwich or Burger, plus a more upscale restaurant.
In Mill Valley, on the way from San Francisco. Make-your-own salad bar and premade sandwiches.
If you have the morning open, you could arrive to Stinson early and walk around the cute small beach town.
Friday Afternoon Schedule
1:00 pm
Meet at the Pavillion for a welcome & connection to the space and the group, then head out on a 2 mile hike on the beautiful, famous Dipsea trail, right outside the door! You can hike more or less if you wish. If you don't want to hike, you're welcome to stay and enjoy the property, go to the beach, etc. However rooms may not be ready until 3pm.
2:30 – 3:00 pm
If you arrive later on Friday, please arrive between 2:30 and 3pm.
4:15 pm
Opening ceremony — it's special and helpful for everyone to be there and open together. If you can't arrive by then, please let us know in advance so we can be available to greet you when you are arriving. We will send you a cell number closer to the date for someone you can coordinate with.
Sunday Departure
The retreat will close Sunday at 1pm. You are welcome to stay and enjoy late checkout from 1–4pm on Sunday, and continue to enjoy the space and grounds. While on Retreat
Technology & Phone Use
Please plan to be offline as much as you are comfortable with. This is sacred time for you! I highly recommend leaving your phone in your room, and off / on airplane mode, and letting your loved ones know you will be unavailable.
If fully disconnecting isn't possible for you for whatever reason, I understand and there is truly no judgement. However, I ask to please respect the common spaces and please don't bring your phone into the dining and yoga spaces. It is really important to me to facilitate spaces where we can settle our attention uninterrupted as much as possible.
Morning Silence
Please also note we observe silence in the mornings to support inner connection and spaciousness. This means we ask you to please observe this with the group. We will enjoy morning silence through practice time, and then open up conversation around 10:30am each day after yoga. If you really want to talk, please do so outside the common spaces.
I also recommend keeping quiet in shared rooms, unless there is an agreement from everyone to do otherwise.
Please lmk if any questions at all! You can reach me at julianneyoga108@gmail.com
Much love and genuine enthusiasm to be with you all 💓
